This hidden gem on the tiny Surfside Beach street was amazing! As soon as you walk through the door, hang a left into a cozy little restaurant and are greeted warmly by the staff! Everything on the menu can be augmented for Gluten Free as their matriarch has Celiac so they are very knowledgeable! The pink lemonade is handmade and subtle but so fantastically refreshing! And... They have BREAD! Delicious GF bread with butter! Designated fryer to boot. The calamari was lightly coated and tender. I saved a couple pieces for my salad to bring a delightful crunch in lieu of croutons! Highly recommend ordering the baked ziti as an app to share and continue on your dinib experience! It's rare you find a Shrimp Parmesan (Especially GF breaded)! The saffron risotto and wood grilled scallops were nicely prepared (perfectly cooked). I opted for the off menu veal special with layers of zucchini and eggplant, marinara and topped with mozzarella. I'm not a huge fan of eggplant but this dish worked beautifully together. And it was massive... Took up almost the entire plate! Filled me up with leftovers for days... The staff was wonderful making sure our glasses didn't run dry and kept the bread coming! Everyone recommended we save room for dessert so we had items packed up as we started filling up! That being said ... The cheesecake was crust less, light, fluffy and divine! Would definitely recommend and plan to return next time we're back in town; just be sure you call and make a reservation!

A great family owned spot with inviting atmosphere, generous portions, and great customer service! For my fellow celiacs! - Most of the menu can be made gluten free, only the raviolis and tortellini can't. Staff is very attentive and even went the extra mile to make my 4-year-old's experience amazing! We had the Chicken Campagna (gluten free) with broccolini, Spaghetti Carbonara with chicken, and the Bowtie Broccoli. Everything was amazing and filling, we all went home with leftovers. They also made a kids Mac n Cheese with French fries and they were both toddler/kid approved! A big thank you to the gentleman in the chef's coat who helped my son feel special and even helped find his trinket bag that had been forgotten at the table!

Yeah, pretty sure Mailbu here has the best chicken parm in town. Garlic bread was yummy, had most of it with my soup as there was an abundance of leftover broth. My salad was good. Chicken parm was spot on! Too full for dessert. Do not! not come here. Need to make a reservation, luckily I was able to walk in as I was a party of one very early in the evening.

Family catered a 90 th birthday party for our mom / MIL at her clubhouse. Malibu was easy to work with to decide the menu. On the day of the party they arrived on time with the food, chafing dishes, stereos and even gave us extra sauces for ALL the entrees. Food was delicious & really helped to make the party special. Thank you!

We both love coming here. My tip is to make reservations. We both ordered cocktails and then looked at the menu. We also heard from our waiter about all the specials. Your meal comes with soup or salad. He got the tortellini soup and I got the salad with blue cheese dressing. It became time to order our meals. I got the baked ziti which was so good with enough left over for two meals for me. He ordered one of the specials. Pasta with pancetta, hog jowl, onions, etc. he found out that it could be topped with shrimp or chicken. He got the chicken. We both decided our meals were delicious. Dessert? Of course. We went with plain cheesecake. It was outstanding. Would I come back here? You know I will. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

We had a lovely time enjoying delicious Italian cuisine in a dimmed quaint atmosphere. Service was excellent! The eggplant was fantastic! The bread exceptional! We'llll be back!

I wish I had a picture of my cannoli... but ate it so fast. The absolutely a die for cannoli. Let me tell you, I do not even like this kind of desert, but suddenly I felt like I would eat it. Came to this lovely place. As soon as I walked in, a charming girl welcomed me, I ordered to go 1 cannoli and 1 cheesecake. I cannot even describe how tasty my cannoli was. I am definitely coming back tomorrow for at least 3 of them. My cheesecake is WOW! 10/10 experience. This place is so beautiful. Can't describe it but felt like 2000 Christmas, the best one. I'm still smiling. :)

Enjoyed an evening with friends here. Great food and wine as usual. The service was slow as we had to ask for our salads after the appetizers (Seafood salad) had long been devoured. I chalk up the service issue to a very full house of patrons. Three of us took advantage of the specials for the day - eggplant parmigiana (best we ever had!) Sunday sauce and Veal Francoise. We highly recommend the veThe Sunday sauce reminded me of my youth with sausages, meatballs and braciola cooked for many hours low and slow and served with penne pasta. The regular item from the menu was the Chicken Parmigiana which is always a delight.

My new favorite Italian spot! It's an intimate little place with an extensive menu. The owner, Giovanni, frequently made his way around the room to assure everyone felt welcome and understood their options in regard to the menu. Aside from the friendly nature of everyone we encountered, I truly appreciated their knowledge of my gluten allergy. I've never been to such an authentic place that offers so many gluten free dishes. It was my first time trying fried calamari and not only was it delicious but it made me feel included in the experience. My father in law even admitted they were some of the best he has tried, and he usually won't try my gluten free food! I truly can't wait to return. Side note: The portions are HUGE and could easily be shared. Oh - and mamas cheesecake is to die for!
